The SPE Young Professionals (YP) board is pleased to invite Texas A&M University to the Emerging Engineer Conference (EEC), an annual event hosted in Houston. This year EEC will take place at ExxonMobil Campus in North Houston, on June 23, 2016. The theme is “Asset Management 2.0 – Driving Operational Efficiency in Challenging Environments”, and our keynote speaker is Vicki Hollub (CEO at Occidental Petroleum). We expect tohost about 200 engineers who are within the first ten years of their career, creating a forum for discussion of trending topics with renowned professionals. Lectures and panel sessions will focus on actions YPs can promote to drive innovation and efficiency in operations, asset management strategies, and entrepreneurship, providing essential tools for career development.
The Emerging Engineers Conference will especially be beneficial to students by helping them learn the traits needed to succeed in the industry as a young professional from renowned industry professionals. It will also give the students opportunity to meet young professionals from the industry and network with them. Additionally, the students will get an opportunity to present their research to industry experts.
